THE EXHIBITION:

Fluid Matter is a group exhibition that aims to explore the possibilities offered to the multiple languages of contemporary artistic research when confronted with an ancient and peculiar material such as glass. For this reason, artists with different approaches to the material and professional backgrounds have been called to participate. There are those who work almost exclusively with glass and those who use it as a medium only occasionally. Those who already have an established experience of exhibitions and awards and those who are just beginning to engage with the art world. Those who are more concentrated on practice and those who have a more theoretical approach. Those who work primarily on form and those who focus on political, social, and existential issues.
The exhibition is the brainchild of the Mollified collective, composed of Cosima Montavoci and Lorenzo Passi, are two artists who mostly work autonomously, but it was from the experience of their collaboration that they drew the strength and inspiration behind the Fluid Matter project. This is how they explain the motivations that led to the exhibition:
"We believe in the diversity of experiences and approaches and the need for opportunities and exchange between different voices. We believe that the resulting confrontation leads to mutual enrichment and new and original visions. In fact, we want to create a place for dialogue and comparison, which can contain various contributions and can provide creative insights through unusual juxtapositions, perhaps creating the basis for future collaborations."
