The Cure

Gradually, we are becoming increasingly aware of the consequences caused by some medicines, but above all of the abuse of them when not strictly necessary. Especially if in the presence of specific pathologies, drugs become part of our daily lives and lose all their weight, becoming colored candies that help us live.

During her stay in Holland, the artist was able to observe the dynamics of a habitat foreign to her, where due to the privatized health insurance system, doctors tend to prescribe little or no medicine, even in case of need. Making these drugs not only aesthetically beautiful, something precious and unreachable, such as diamonds or precious gems.

After a long period of poor health, and familiarization with various medicines, the artist then began a bizarre collection of drugs prescribed or recommended by doctors, which she did not consider necessary, looking at them and treating them as something purely aesthetic that loses the its beneficial and at the same time harmful value.
